California Trip

We went to Newport Beach this last week with my brother Troy and his girlfriend Jen.  We had a great time. We did some shopping, played on the beach, and had a good time.

Avery didn’t like the beach. She liked playing in the sand, but the water was a little scary to her. Darren carried her out in the water for a while and she liked that.

This is the Newport Temple.  It is pink!  You can see Jen is holding Avery in this picture and most of the trip. She was very attached to Troy and Jen. Darren and I thought it very nice to bring along the “nanny” and the “au pair” with us.

Jen’s dad took Avery around the temple grounds. They played in the fountain and  looked for bees and butterflies. Avery had a great time with him.

Avery loved the “horsies” at the mall.  We had a great vacation, it was much too short! Back to real life.

Ahh newport beach…I went there a long time ago and can only remember seeing a dead fish, a plastic bag and finding crabs…hee hee. I heard some amazing stories about the temple building process from some local friends. pretty incredible. I still have yet to see it. However, my favorite is still the JOrdan River temple…the best place to spend when your single and contemplating the whole thing called life. Plus it’s not overly populated or rushed. Looks like good times. p.s. I love what you wrote on Bailey’s Johnny Lingo blog…hee hee. We have got to hunt someone down for her and King…seriously…okay plus it would just be fun to hook them up and listen to their stories afterwards…and I love that the Francoms are moving closer…to everyone.

What a fun trip. Is this the brother I went to Africa (Kenya) with in 2000? If so, was he married to another person? My memory is failing me but this girl does not look familiar.
